Aw dalia farming
Aw dalia (Pty) Ltd, established in 2016, is a 100% youth, black women-owned agricultural enterprise run by a single dedicated individual. We are a diversified farming business specializing in crop production (maize and soybeans) and merino sheep farming, producing quality wool and carcass. Our strategy leverages partnerships and mentorship, making short-term sacrifices for long-term success. We began humbly, growing vegetables in abandoned school gardens, and have since grown significantly.
Currently, we have wo farms: Farm Sunnyside in Lothair, where we cultivate grains, and Driehoek Farm near Ermelo, home to more than 100 sheep. We've successfully secured formal markets with key players like SACTA, AFGRI, SABrewery, BKB, and Randagri. We collaborate closely with our board of directors, financiers, neighboring farmers, and reliable suppliers such as Moolman Landboudienste, VDB Bellegings, Villa, and Farmsol. We employ four permanent staff members and about ten seasonal workers, believing we are future job creators contributing to poverty alleviation.

Njabulo Mbokane, the managing director of Aw dalia, began farming at an early age, driven by a profound passion for agriculture. She holds a National Certificate in Mixed Farming and is currently pursuing a Diploma in Animal Production, specializing in sheep and wool, from the International Agricultural Academy. Her dedication and expertise are the driving force behind the company's success and continuous growth.

Driehoek Farm: Situated 18km from Ermelo on the Hendrina road, this farm is home to our livestock, where we currently maintain more than 100 merino sheep.
